How to spot it

A small sand-dwelling dragonet, cryptically spotted and reticulated in cream and brown. Smaller than the common dragonet; the male's first dorsal fin is raised but not as tall or filamentous as C. lyra. Found on sandy-muddy bottoms from the shallows down to 400m.
