Merlangius merlangus

Slim sandy-grey gadoid with three dorsal fins and NO chin barbel (unlike cod or bib), plus a small dark blotch at the upper base of each pectoral fin. The upper jaw is slightly the longer; shoals near the bottom over sand and mud.
