How to spot it

A broad, flattened oval body fringed all the way round by a rippling fin, with a W-shaped pupil and ten arms (two long and retractable). Hovers over sand and can flash zebra stripes in an instant. Our largest cuttlefish; its white 'cuttlebone' often washes up.
